What exactly do we want to achieve? I'm guessing the fact that you are reading that your goal is to be able to work from home. To earn an income online so you can stay home with the kids, or there may not necessarily be kids involved, perhaps you just want to be your own boss. To stop spending your life taking orders from someone else.
So we need to have 3 things:
1. Goal
2. Plan
3. Take Action
1. GOALS
So we have the basic goal that we want to be able to earn an income online and work from home. That is the ultimate goal, but it can help to set yourself some smaller goals.
Set yourself some time limits, for example that you want to be earning $1000 per month by the end of 3 months, $2000 by the end of 6 months, those sort of goals. Write them down and put them somewhere where you will see them and stay focused on your goals.
If you choose a program to work with such as GDI or SFI, then make your goals specific to the programs, if you set your goals then you can make your plan.
2. THE PLAN
Where you start in your online business will probably depend on how much capital you can afford to invest into your business. I'm going to start of with 2 areas that you can do without ANY start up capital at all.
2.1 Ebay
Whether you want to make a full career selling on ebay or whether you just want to do it until you can raise some capital to invest in other online programs is up to you. There are people that make a good income selling on ebay. I'm not going to go into all the ebay details here but a great ebook to learn all there is to know about selling on ebay is PATH THE EBAY RICHES by Corey Joel. Its only $7 to purchase and well worth the cost if you do want to get seriously into selling on ebay.

If you're not really interested in ebay but do need to raise some capital then I suggest using it for a while just to raise that investment cash that you need. You don't need to get into buying and selling stock or dropshipping, you can just start of selling things that you don't need anymore.
That is exactly how I started out. I sold all my old baby goods - car seats, monitors, prams, clothes - all the baby goods that I no longer needed after I had my last baby. Toys, books, clothes, you can sell almost anything on ebay.
If you don't have anything to sell in your house, visit some garage sales or second hand shops. One of the first things I bought from a second hand shop to resell was some Baby Sitter Club books - I bought 10 for 20cents each, so $2.00 for 10, I sold them for a total of $44.00 making a $42.00 profit.
So that is the first way to start off online without any start up capital.
2.2 MPAM
The second way is to write Articles. MPAM is a company that pays you to write articles for their website.
MPAM will pay you $5 per article, which usually take about 1/2 an hour to write. There is a large number of topics to choose from so most people will be able to find a topic they have no problems writing about.
One requirement for your articles is you cannot just copy word for word something you have found on the internet. You can use information from the internet to write your articles as long as you put it in your own words.
MPAM do have a monthly membership fee of $29.95 but the first 30 days are free. You could write one article a day over a month would give you $150. So by the end of your free month you will have enough cash to pay your next months membership fee. So even taking off the fee each month, just one article a day will give you a profit of $120 every month.
This is enough to cover other costs for you to start up some other online businesses.
