My name is Sheryl and I am happily married and the mother of three lovely boys.
My 'stay home mum' story started just over 9 years ago.
Actually I guess the whole thing started back in 1993 when I met the young man on the left.
That is my husband Derek, we met in 1993 and married in 1995.
Way back when we were young and worry free.
We went along in our merry life for a couple of years and then decided that we might extend our family.
Then in early 1998, weighing in at 10lb 5oz, Ben came along and joined our family.
This is when I realised the Polomka genes were far more dominant than the Masson genes as young Ben has not one ounce of Masson in him. He is his Dad's 'mini me'.
He's absolutely georgeous though, and other than the fact that he just can't learn how to sleep, he is a great little baby.
Life was good and I just loved motherhood so much that I thought I'd do it all again.
So 19 months after Ben was born, along came Corey, weighing in at slightly more than his brother, at 10lb 6oz.
Also carrying mostly Polomka genes, but does have some of my Dad's genes (I guess that's better than no Masson genes at all).
Corey unfortunately shares his brothers non-understanding of what sleep is.
Just because I was really enjoying this life of a zombie without sleep, we did it again.
2½ years after Corey was born, our 'meant to be' baby came along. Lachlan decided to enter the world 3 weeks early and was therefore the smallest of the three boys weighing 9lb 5oz (he was 11lb by his due date).
Finally - one that has my genes. Shared with his dads genes, but at least he has mine, he has my eyes.
He also shares his brothers sleepless habits.
The family is just not quite complete, so in 2006 we brought home a georgeous Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy.
Kaiba is the final addition to our family that is now complete.
And he sleeps!!
Now for how I came to work online!
Early 2006 Lachlan started kindergarten and Derek started nagging me to go back to work. Given that kindy is one full day and two half days a week, it wasn't really practical to get a job while I'm running back and forward to kindy and school.
So I said that when Lachlan started school, then I would return to work. Of course it would be preferable if I could stay home and be able to take the kids to school each morning and pick them up each afternoon.
That's when I started my quest to find a way to make money online. Let me tell you it has not been easy, I knew nothing when I first started. I had absolutely no experience in internet marketing or web design, so I searched and read and got myself dreamweaver (web design program) and learned as I went.
I have had no training or educaction in internet marketing or webdesign, it is all completely learn as you go. I did it though, I have learned a LOT over the last year.
I am now earning money online and won't be looking for a 'real' job in a months time when Lachlan starts school.
It has been hard though, and that's why I designed this website, to share my experience and everything that I know.
